Over the past year, the City's project team has prepared a draft Vision Framework Diagram and a series of emerging concepts for both the Northern and Southern Riverfronts.
The concepts build from the community’s Vision and Guiding Principles Framework (reviewed by the City Council in January 2024) and the past two years of public meetings and workshops; online surveys; community interest group discussions; meetings with Riverfront tenants, property owners, and other interested partners; and technical analysis.
These materials were reviewed by the City Council during their May 20, 2025 and November 18, 2025, meetings. Council provided feedback and direction to the Project Team during both meetings, which will be used to further refine the various concepts and initiate the preparation of the draft Specific Plan and environmental analysis.
These concepts will be further refined based on community and Council feedback during the next phase of the project (early 2026).
